Groot Pefect Defense and Attack

I made some adjustments to the Deck. I know what you might think: 'Why 42 cards?' This deck still works fine but if you must have 40 cards you can remove Gamora and 1 Side step.

First of all Groot is a fantastic character in Protection. He truly is a tank. When building him up there are a few cards that are key from the start:

• Armored Vest
• Hard to Ignore
• Unflappable

With these cards you can do the following when defending: Draw a card, remove up to 3 threat and take less damage. Groot wants to be attacked and does not want help with that (usually). Allies are key but more if the villain attacks again with cards like Assault. Allies can then protect his Growth counters.

I found that after building up Groot with most of the supports and upgrades he can be a serious attacker and thwarter.

Then you can play cards like Fighting Fit which is such a good 'fit' for Groot since he is mostly at full health the whole game.

The Night Nurse is also a key card to get down to be able to remove Stuns and confuses since Groot will mostly be exhausted in the hero phase.

I swapped out Never Backed Down with Expert Defense since I found the ready better than the stun. When you have 3 Hard to Ignore's down you really want to defend the villains attacks.

Allies are useful for getting rid of toughs and minions or extra thwarting.

Overall a very fun Deck and Groot can really hammer the Villains in a rush style when be is fully built out.
