In the Faq 1.6 change the Text to this card to clarifing the effect:

Should read: “Retribution — Forced Response: After you or an ally you control attacks and damages Venom, place 1 facedown boost card on your identity (2 facedown boost cards instead if this is the first attack this turn).” (Changed “you attack and damage Venom with a card you control” to “you or an ally you control attacks and damages Venom”.)
