For a long time, my brother and I struggled to find a place for Black Panther. We have played him in every aspect, but nothing seemed to fit him well. But a few months ago, my brother decided to play an Aggression deck centered around Mean Swing against Ultron (Panther's best foe because of Retaliate and Energy Daggers). It was a blast. Recently, we tried this deck again with the newer Aggression cards and a proxy for Fusillade (another exhaust a weapon card; it got cut). This deck is quite powerful, but more importantly, it feels like Black Panther on the hunt, shredding through everything in his path.

The purpose of this deck is to get out either Panther Claws or Energy Daggers first turn with Foresight and start shredding through minions and the villain with Mean Swing, Hand Cannon, and Combat Training.

Allies:

Black Panther usually ends up with a lot of allies because of Vibranium, but in this deck I could probably cut some of them. The most important ones are Bug, Nick Fury, Valkyrie, and of course, Shuri.

Bug is very useful for consistent thwarting, tough removal, and that last hit point on a minion. Once you see him, you should play him. He will stick around and be very helpful, especially in solo or in multiplayer without a Justice player.

The others are less important. Nick Fury and Shuri can dig for key cards, and Valkyrie is perfect for the quick tempo of this deck. Angela and Brawn are slower and are both expensive. You don't always want an extra minion, especially in Mutagen Formula, which this deck was tested in.

Minion Slaying:

In addition to overkill basic attacks, this deck has the ever present and powerful card: Relentless Assault. Since the Core Set, nothing has toppled the power and relevance of this card. Hand Cannon tried, but RA will remain a staple for minion slaying decks for the rest of this games history. Chase them Down will provide the last kick of thwarting needed. Hall of Heroes works with Energy Daggers, and when combined with The Golden City, it can lead to monstrous turns. Lie in Wait isn't just here for the theme. It is a very efficient way to kill minions, but it is also here as an upgrade to pull for Shuri when you just need an extra resource.

In our last game against Mutagen, my brother did 42 damage in one round (33 to the villain, killed three thralls) with this deck, winning the game for us. Just think about that number.

This deck looks great! We're planning to try this in our next four-player game. We have two Justice players in that group though (She-Hulk and Black Widow), and the Iron Man Leadership deck thwarts really well too once it gets going.

If you don't need to thwart with this deck at all, what would you suggest replacing Chase Them Down with, and would you make any other substitutions?

Thanks! If you don’t need the thwarting, I suggest using skilled strike.

I would also swap out Brawn for another Combat Training or cheap ally.
