Theory crafting. Untested so far

The deck is filled with cheap aspect cards to build up Spider-woman’s stats each turn, along with readying effects like Justice Served and Battle Fury. She’s going to need to be able to activate more than once a turn because she’s going to have her work cut out for her cleaning up all the messes she’ll be making. You see, Jessica has a bad habit of surrounding herself with all the wrong people (minions), and creating extra drama in her life (side schemes).

This deck is attempting to take advantage of both the minion summoning style and the side scheme summoning style. The hope is that the benefits of those cards will outweigh the dangers. One Way or Another will allow Jessica to draw 3 cards (Yay!), but then she has to fetch a side scheme (boo!). Looking for Trouble clears 3 threat from the main scheme (Huzzah!) but then you flip til you get a minion (Drat!). So as you can see, Spider-woman is sort of her own worst enemy.

But we have other cards to help Jessica deal with her self-destructive tendencies. She has some friends that are good at killing minions in Valkyrie and Tigra. She also has another friend who’s kind of there to push her further down the bad path (Angela), and one who’s just along for the ride (Ironheart). We’ve also included 1 copy of Relentless Assault to compliment her 2 Venom Blasts. And if she finds herself at a really bad party Bring It is there to bail her out.

In order to take advantage of the side schemes we have Turn the Tide for cheap damage, Making an Entrance to help Jessica solve some of her self-inflicted chaos (and heal for 2 in the process), and Justice Served to stand her back up to face the next problem (that she likely caused herself).

As for defense Jessica is mostly relying on her own natural abilities. Pheromones and Contaminant Immunity provide very useful status effects. And when those fail you can always chuck Ironheart in the way. Jess barely knows her anyway.

So when it comes right down to it, the deck is hoping to have enough left over each turn after killing all the minions you summoned and clearing all the side schemes you fetched to actually progress the victory condition. Pump SW’s stats to 3 or 4 each turn and ready her as much as possible.

But if all that fails and the deck loses, please try to be kind. She’s clearly going through a lot right now.
