Hey this is Mr. L sharing my deck build I been tinkering with in my deck lab. This deck has seen about 15 play tests. (10 solo and 5 2 player games with my son). As a result, I’m pretty pleased with the final product I came up with. There are many architypes in Justice at the moment, but I went forward with the card draw aspect architype.

My deck construction leans into doing damage with his hero signature cards, thwarting with his justice event cards, and the flexibility of relying on his allies for damage or thwarting, depending on what I need at the moment. This deck is primarily for drawing cards to blast the villain with hero signature damage cards. After my playtests, I concluded I rather use my hero signature kit to do most of the heavy damage output instead TTT or Followed for Vision-J. This is my preferred way to play and maybe not suited for other people. (Different strokes for Different folks :P) Plus, his hero signature cards have great action poses and I rather play those bad ass cards when I do the damage so I can feel epic AF.

SECRET SAUCE: The main point of this deck is to thin your deck (try to have a lot of your upgrades/supports in play) so when you start drawing cards from One way or another, it starts this surplus card draw income. Also, this Justice build cycles through your deck very quickly so you can build your key upgrades/supports very quickly. I’m a big fan of deck cycling so I can burn through my deck so I can setup my main board upgrade/support before my villain can start up his tempo.

The starting block is using one way or another to draw 3 cards, attach Chance encounter, Clear the SS with clear the area or a thwart event or hero basic action to trigger chance encounter to find NF to add to your hand, then trigger skilled investigator to draw a card, then finally pay for NF to draw 3 more cards. Let’s take a look at the cards I picked for this deck build:

Basic Cards:

Machine Man: I really love this hero because he is a cheap 2 cost ally and also his versatility. Early game I usually have him ping off the tough status cards and use him to chump block. Then mid-late game I can rely on him to do dmg or thwart by paying the extra resources for that turn. Also, the synergy for 616 Hickory Lane support card to find him is clutch. Auto include for me since Machine man android traited for hickory support and will include him regardless of aspect for Vision.

Nick Fury: Part of the ingredient for deck build. Like I said above, NF I will solely lean into his draw 3 card ability since I am a big fan of having a robust card draw. (CM is one of my favorites due to the card draw :P) Definitely Chance encounter is geared to him most of the time.

Basic Resource cards: I just picked Energy, Mental, Physical resources since it’s a staple in most of my decks.

Reboot: (FLEX 2 or 3 COPIES) (2 COPIES SO YOU CAN PUT UNDER SURVIELLANCE FOR 1-2 PLAYERS. 3 COPIES OF REBOOT IF YOU WANT TO REMOVE UNDER SURVIELLANCE FOR 3-4 PLAYERS) I think you get two great things compacted into this one card. You get a heal and ready for an android. For me this is a better choice than first aid, ready to rumble, justice served.

Avengers Mansion: I love this card because of the deck cycling. I didn’t consider Heli carrier because I already have 3 resource generators: solar gem, sense of justice, deft focus.

Deft Focus: 11 cards in Vision kit are superpower cards. Deft focus is good enough for me.

Honorable Basic Card Mentions:

Beat em up: I slotted in one copy by removing one reboot or clear the area when I was fighting Ultron. You can buy time in Intangible form to avoid damage from the drones and reduce incoming damage by 2. Can use beat em up to clear the drones, if the drones are 1hp. You deck cycle so fast that you will see Beat em up again quickly. You can put two if you wish but you would have to lose a J ally or a thwart justice event card. It's up to you.

Justice Aspect Cards:

One way or Another: The start of the crazy combo chain. Play one way or another to put a SS in play. Make sure it’s a SS you can clear relatively easily, then draw 3 cards, attach Chance encounter, Clear the SS with clear the area or a thwart event or hero basic action. After you clear the SS, trigger chance encounter to find NF to add to your hand, then trigger skilled investigator to draw a card (if you have it in play hopefully ;p), then finally pay for NF to draw 3 more cards. CARD DRAW IS LIFE.

Disclaimer: You have to know what SS is left in the encounter deck. There can diminishing returns once you know there are no SS left in the encounter deck, so keep an eye on the encounter discard pile and know what's in the encounter deck. When the encounter deck runs out, its fair game to abuse One Way or Another to cherry pick those fresh Side Schemes when you shuffle that encounter deck. (I kind of look forward to that acceleration token. Its sick I know but I get to abuse those fresh SS. Muahaah! :P Temporal Modular (super cheese mod for one way or another :P) is a good set to target Time portal over and over again. I had no issues Expert Klaw with State of Emergency Modular. (State of Emergency has tons of SS but you have to do the "when revealed effects" for OWOA. This deck can handle that modular just fine). Also, you can't go wild with OWOA since its once per round. :)

Clear the Area for Solo Play: (Multiplayer 2-4 Players- Agile Flight or For Justice) I like this card in solo play to cycle through you deck. You clear the last scheme then you draw a card. In a multiplayer game, I just focused on thwarting and can be substituted with For Justice or Agile Flight. (Agile flight was strong Mid to late game when I had solar gem for the aerial. Passing through and lay down the law is sufficient in early game, and you have allies to help.) I would only put 2 since I would bump up Lay down the law to 3 in multiplayer.

Lay down the Law: I play tested and 2 is good for the random spikes on threat in solo. I would bump this to 3 copies in 2 player multiplayer game. Super cheap card and can easily pay for the kicker with Solar Gem or Sense of Justice. Solid card for a flipping hero.

Skilled Investigator: Another main component for my deck drawing engine. Clear a SS and draw a card. Solid.

Chance Encounter: I play tested with 1 and 2 cards here. I think 2 is sufficient for me because it's part of the combo chain for one way to find NF. Also, I find success on attaching it to the Nemesis SS when I got Shadows of the past, so I can find the right ally to help out dealing with Ultron. Also, getting one additional card to your hand to help pay for something is also helpful.

Sense of Justice: A must Justice upgrade to fuel Justice thwart events and also help pay for solar beam. Win card for me here.

Eros: I like him because of his response ability. Flip down with ease when Ultron pops up from Shadow of the past. Use Chance encounter to attach to the nemesis SS, then clear the nemesis SS to tutor for Eros. Play Eros from hand with a mental to confuse Ultron to flip down to AE. In my play tests, I kept getting Shadows of the past and his added threat would be lights out for me, so I figured Eros would help to give me another back door escape route for that ugly trash can. (Intangible is alright to avoid Ultron's Dmg buuuuuttt his forced interrupt is still a pain and I rather pass on that extra drone if I can :p) Also, Eros is cheap, and he has a 2 thwart and a chump block. Who doesn’t like cheap allies? If you don’t like Eros, then I would put in Wraith or Jack Flag.

Quake: Cheap ally. 2 dmg and a block is good for me. Plus, I like having a few cheap allies in my deck.

Venom: I think keeping the threat low in solo is not an issue. Agent Venom is expensive, but I love playing him mid to late game when I have the threat locked down so his consequential dmg is reduced by 1. Multiplayer game I may swap out Venom for Speed for the burst thwart or possibly Jack Flag.

Followed: (FLEX CARD) I think based on his hero kit and the thwart events; Vision is solid in threat removal. Followed is decent in solo play to combo off of clearing a SS for that 4 dmg. Damage is great in Intangible form too. However, in mid-late game I am relying on more of his kit to do damage then followed. In a two-player game, I removed followed and subbed in heroic intuition so I can focus on thwarting for 3 and with reboot (heal for 1 and ready) so I can thwart again for 3.

Under Surveillance: (FLEX CARD) (SHOULD BE INCLUDED FOR 1-2 PLAYER GAME Remove 1 copy of REBOOT BASIC CARD (2 WOULD BE LEFT IN THE DECK). 3-4 PLAYER GAME CUT UNDER SURVEILLANCE AND YOU CAN GO BACK TO 3 REBOOT CARDS) Solo to 2 player game it helped out a lot when I was flipping down to AE for 616 Hickory Lane. Multiplayer 3-4 games you can do 3 copies of Reboot or probably 2 copies of Reboot and throw in another ally (Justice Spiderman) or another heavy thwart card like Agile Flight or Crisis Averted.

Honorable Justice aspect Card mentions: Making an Entrance: I think Making an entrance is a solid card for him for the +2 healing when he removes all the threat. I play tested in my 2 player games and it was a good card to have in my deck. I think it's great in intangible form.

Final thoughts:

Definitely Vision is one of my top 5 favorite heroes in my collection. So far, I love Vision-J more than leadership, protection, aggression for me. In my house, I’m mostly the support aspect role, since my nephews and son are mostly leadership or aggression. I like having a hero where I can do some decent thwarting and dishing out some big damage.

The main point is to have fun and you can go over 40 by having that 3 reboot and under surveillance in your deck. Heck bolt on whatever cards you like. It really doesn't matter since you're playing this deck to your liking. It's just my crazy concoction I brewed up when I was playing with my son. Well, I hope everyone is having fun and remember there are many paths to victory in Marvel Champions!

  • The Correct Version should have Under Surveillance. Reboot should be only 2 copies.

Wow, what a deck. Destroyed Ultron qithout letting him get past his first scheme. It took a few turns to get setup, but after that Ultron was on the ropes. So many cards to draw.
