"I'm in the middle of an interrogation, here, this moron is about to give me everything." — Natasha Romanoff

For so long I've wanted cards and abilities that allow you to do things in Alter-ego. The new S.H.I.E.L.D. cards from Sinister Motives finally answer the call. I chose Nat for this deck because 1) she's my favorite hero; 2) she has the S.H.I.E.L.D. trait in AE; and 3) she has in-kit and in-theme cards that are usable in AE.

This deck can thwart the enemy's plans without ever drawing attention to yourself. But, if your cover is blown, flip to Hero form and you've perfectly set up Preparations to inflict heavy damage before going underground once more.

With Global Logistics, Natasha can set up the encounter deck to plan your next move. In solo, this can mean multiple turns of perfect knowledge, or a perfect chance to take out your target by triggering all the Preps you've put into play. I routinely have used Logistics to set up a double Espionage trigger, knocking the villain with Attacrobatics for 3 damage by setting up a triple boost card; and then you can setup a Grappling Hook or Widow's Bite.

At first I worried there wouldn't be enough damage to carry the weight in solo, but I forgot how much Natasha's chip damage piles up. Attacrobatics, "Widowmaker", and Dance of Death certainly allow you to take out any villain. But, this is a long game; you're undercover, working in the shadows for much of the game, so don't expect a quick victory.

Instead, you are destabilizing their plans and laying the groundwork to ensnare your enemy in a sudden, quick operation by monitoring their every move.

While in Alter-ego, you don't have to worry about threat so much, either. You have five cards that can thwart in Alter-ego: Covert Ops and Homeland Intervention. Exhaust Natasha to thwart for 2 with Homeland, just like her hero form basic THW. You can also take out an entire side scheme or clear away a lot of threat in multiplayer by exhausting 3 SHIELD cards for 6 thwart, all for 0 resources.

This is your mission, should you choose to accept it.
