Cyclops - Jean Grey Never Stays Dead

This deck came about because I wanted to play Cyclops thematically as the energy blasting field commander that he is, rather than sitting in alter-ego and using allies to do all the work as is seen in most other Cyke leadership decks. The basic idea is to make maximum use of Phoenix 'enters play' ability through cards like Make the Call and Rapid Response in order to cycle back Full Blast to your hand after every use, essentially giving you a 11 damage attack with overkill (and piercing and ranged with Ruby Quartz Visor) every single turn. This attack is completely unstoppable, and will destroy any minions and tough cards that would usually get in your way. Combine this with Exploit Weakness and a board full of allies, and you will easily be reaching 25+ damage each turn. In solo, this often means a completely unobstructed victory a couple of turns after locking the cycle in place.

All of the ally recycling gives the deck great consistency and versatility as well, comboing with the play effects of cards like Beast, Blindfold and Polaris. I imagine as more X-Men allies with play effects are added, I'll replace the filler allies such as Colossus.

Digging for the cards you want can be achieved using Cerebro in combo with any of the 4 psionic allies included - and Strength In Numbers is used on quieter turns to quickly pull through your deck. I find the X-Men allies strong enough to handle any threats that come out of the villain deck until you are ready to start shooting out endlessly repeated Full Blast every turn for a swift victory. You have the option of sitting in alter ego to speed up the card draw if you like, or taking a more aggressive approach in hero form.

Relying on Full Blast does depend on minions or the villain having an upgrade attachment to target, but I've never found this to be an issue, what with all the tutoring available to Cyclops.
