"I'm becoming the person I should've been a long time ago" - Phoenix

Introduction:

This deck has a simple concept, but requires proper timing. Her 3 thwart on her restrained side is extremely valuable for controlling the board state in the early-mid game. Phoenix is a "form flipper", but not in the same way as previous heroes. When she goes to Phoenix form, it's hard to fall back into restrained form. Therefore, when you're in unleashed form, you typically aren't falling back into restrained form.

Her hero cards have some fun and powerful effects when she's in unleashed form. Cards like Telepathic Trickery & Telekinetic Attack are GREAT! Psychic Blast is solid in the right situations. Now, the cool part is the fact that Team-Building Exercise can help pay for these cards, since these cards all share the psionic trait! Psychic Assault is included as another card that benefits from this as well.

Gameplan:

So... with all of that being said, this deck ENCOURAGES you to go to unleashed form. When you are unleashed form, there are 9 cards total that can stun or confuse the villain (Drop Kick, Psychic Assault, Telepathic Trickery, & Professor X)

The good news: 6/9 of those cards (Drop Kick & Psychic Assault) work in restrained form as well, so this provides you options while you're maintaining threat and the overall board state.

I added 1 "The Power in All of Us" to aid in getting the expensive allies/supports on the board. Once you get the allies flowing in and out of combat, and a few supports on the board, there's a good chance you'll be drawing the stun/confuse cards consistently every turn. This will allow you to keep the villain under control while dealing out consistent damage with her 3 attack stat in unleashed form.

Final Thoughts:

This deck worked wonders against Magneto, as once the side schemes were defeated and Magneto lost his steady, he was stunned/confused nearly EVERY turn. The deck is a lot of fun and has HIGH potential to take out the biggest villains this game has to offer.

Obviously, this deck is not as effective against stalwart villains, since they can't be stunned or confused. It will still deal damage, but just thought I'd mention that.

I appreciate any feedback on this deck and/or sharing your experiences with this deck, and whether it was effective or not.
