Hawkeye: Danger Close

Disclaimer: This deck is meant to be played alongside my Black Widow: Secure the Perimeter deck for the optimal (and balanced) thematic experience!

I’ve only ever tested this deck with the Black Widow deck I listed above, and it’s balanced around that. While Black Widow is thwarting schemes, laying traps and foiling plans, you’ll be punching foes and shooting goons alongside Mockingbird.

You may notice something strange while looking at the deck list...it utilizes Mean Swing and Skilled Strike. That’s because Hawkeye’s bow is actually a weapon! Now obviously using your bow as to enhance your melee attack should be a last resort. But what else are you going to do until you get your quiver into play and have a steady supply of arrows on demand?

In all seriousness, though, this deck is very fun to play. It really pushes Hawkeye even more into a glass cannon than he already is by buffing his damage output to comical values. Also, Mockingbird is an absolute MUST to get into play as soon as possible. After you are exhausted from playing mean swing, you can play Earth’s mightiest heroes to exhaust Mockingbird (she is actually an Avenger in Hawkeye’s signature 15) and ready yourself. This will then allow you to use Quick Draw (Hawkeye’s hero ability) to ready the bow and shoot an arrow. Jarnbjorn is in this deck to combo arrows with mean swings and ping damage from the many physical resources in this deck.
