To take care of the most dangerous threats X-Force has, they’ll need an Omega Level threat themselves. Lucky for them…
Thunderstorm gives X-23 4 atk, the same as if she just popped X-23's Claws. Her ready isn’t limited, so slice n’ dice any unlucky minions in the way. Thunderstorm synergizes even more with its 2 damage special, pinging a tough or setting even a 6 health minion into Laura’s strike range without any added assistance.
Marrow follows the Leader of the Morlocks into battle as well and packs plenty punch, getting into the fray, 2 damage, then up to 3 with the aforementioned T-Storm. She’s also a great pick for Rapid Response as she can come back in for another 2, potentially ending a minion before they can activate next. Team Training gives her the needed +1 health to also be able to activate the next turn too.
Sunspot is a bonus Blast of Wind and a block. With plenty of energy resources and wild generation he sets up X-23 for board clearing turns if he can’t do it himself.
Omega Level Threat
Damage is great and all, but what about thwarting? Storm already offers great burst thwarting with Torrential Rain, but she’s also super flexible and can set Cable up to clear any side scheme. Flip to Hurricane, he’s probably set. Use Torrential Rain and you can still set it up if you’re in hurricane. Fantomex also sets Nathan up for success. With both of her upgrades out, it’s an easy 4thw a turn on top of all that.
Snowed In
With Team Training and a Reinforced Suit on, every ally will either have 5 or 6 health. Couple that with Blizzard, and your allies can prevent multiple activations. Deathlok is great for damage and threat, but he's also basically assured to come in with at least 5 health, making a very reliable defender. Storm can handle her own as well, as Flash Freeze is an incredibly strong defense card, particularly against villains who like to activate multiple times.
The Weather Goddess, Regent of Arakko, Voice of Sol…Storm.

Apr 21, 2024Admittedly I mostly played Storm as 2 weathers (hurricane and tstorm) before this deck but I’ve been missing out. They’re all really strong and Blizzard has really shined in AoA, instantly erasing extra health of an infinite or dodging a when defeated minion effect is super helpful! |

Man, Storm is just so good!! Also, I love how this deck leans into Blizzard! For some reason, it’s the least popular weather at my table, and I don’t see decks built to lean into it. Really cool…or should I say, “really cold!”
