When I had first gotten Star-Lord, I saw the Element Guns and knew I wanted to build around them specifically, hopefully doing at least 6 damage a turn (more with my basic activation). At the point of release, I had all those Enhanced ___ cards with no home and realized that they were perfect for fueling my gunslinging dreams.
However, that wasn't quite enough to make a full deck list. So a little while after release, they came out with Alliance cards. I saw that Star-Lord made any Avengers he had becomes Guardians as well, and realized he was the perfect user for As One!
Playing Sentry just seems right for Star-Lord, and She-Hulk can make her attack even higher, making them the perfect candidates. Once they're out and fully charged, it turns As One! into a 13-damage event with overkill, which pairs nice with the Element Guns' piercing.
Bug is kind of a bonus but if any future Guardians be released, he'll probably get moved to another hero's deck; I find I have to flip down to Alter-Ego a little too often with Star-Lord to make Bug as useful as possible, but he's a good home for a third energy spear for the time being.
I think this is a genius use of the Enhanced X cards, and a really fun way to play Star-Lord. Especially in multiplayer!
