name The Magnanimous Pull of One Erik Lehnsherr; lessons on discarding material things for metal things.

I’ve acquired quite the reputation for villainy in my past. However, I have come to understand what was pulling me in that direction was all based on material things. I’m here to teach you how you can discard those things and learn to embrace the magnetic pull of metal instead. Perhaps though, we can all create a little mayhem still in the process.

Before I proceed, I would like to have Domino explain a little bit about how this process works :

Children of the Atom we all share the same traits, and thus we all work towards a common goal: draw lots of cards and play lots of metal. It starts by digging deep and placing that on top of your deck so when you feel the Magnetic Pull of metal from your deck you will have better prepared yourself to shape that metal how you wish.

Thanks Domino, she mentioned something key to this process: drawing lots of cards. I’ve been all over the world and as a Mission Leader I’ve met many other leaders such as Cable who have offered sage advice such as “just clear side schemes!”. So simple yet poignant, so I’ve taken heed to his words and have begun offering the following courses to always ensure we have something to clear:

  • Build Support
  • Superpower Training
  • Call for Backup
  • Specialized Training

Now the fun part, you’ve built your Utopia of Metal and can invite all your friends for Game Time fun including our favorite: Mutant Mayhem. They’ll stick around for a long time so need not worry about inviting too many. Much like we are shedding our material possessions we are also reducing the number of those close to us, but forging a tighter bond with them.

Author’s notes: I think this plays fine solo but it is pretty build heavy and thus works better in multiplayer. Once pieces come online allies become very sticky and if they need a refresh Mutant Mayhem helps a ton. Deathlok is an amazing play from Call from Back or even hand as he’ll grab Danger Room Training if Children of the Atom is in play and that gets Game Time rolling. Digging Deep can be a bit of a trap with Magneto but Domino adds a ton of consistency to drawing it. Eventually you can rip a massive amount of threat off schemes and drawing cards from Cable, Mission Leader, and your specialized training upgrade. Hopefully you find success with this deck and enjoy it!

This deck looks like it would shred side schemes. And I like Phoenix with mutant mayhem a lot once you have allies built out. I'll try this out my next multiplayer game!

I love Game Time and the basic side schemes on Magneto. Adding Uncanny X-Force and Mutant Mayhem is very cool, looks super fun!

I forgot to mention! If you are playing multiplayer and others are running lots of Player Side Schemes feel free to dial back or even change the ones being ran here. At higher player counts there’s usually no shortage of side schemes for you to thwart so you don’t have to be as concerned about bringing them.

Also playing alongside Cable with this really helps accelerate the build, so feel free to swap out the Cable Ally in that situation with someone like Pete Wisdom or Deadpool or Cyclops if you are looking for a lay game finisher with Mutant Mayhem.

This was a ton of fun! Great use of Children of the Atom. Each time I get to play Game Time, I can’t help but get giddy. This deck is gonna be my defacto Leadership Mags now
