This deck works great solo, but to truly see what it's capable of, try it in multiplayer!
Miles is the King of status control. He's so good at it that sometimes you'll end up stuck with a Venom Blast or Spider Camouflage, but the Villain is already is stunned and confused...
STATUS STACKING
Wouldn't it be cool if there was a way to get around this? To stun/ confuse the Villain multiple times a turn, locking them down even in multiplayer? What we need is a way to weave status effects between enemy activations, so that as soon as one is cleared, you can just put it right back!
Miles has 2 cards that can do this already, but on a smaller scale. Defense Mechanism and Power Within can both be activated after you block, to stun/confuse the villain before they can activate again. We will be taking advantage of this, but its not our main focus. More on them later.
REBEL LEADER
The key player here is Warpath. When he defends, you can play any event with a hero action as a response. We are looking to get a minion with 2 or less ATK, and have it pinned down in our Webs. Its good to have a few of these, 1 per player, so that we have options for when we can trigger Warpath. With Hangar Bay we can trigger him twice in one phase.
There's 18 events with Hero Actions. That's a lot of options. Here's the best ones:
- Swing In, Web-Shot, and Thwip Thwip!: These are the main options. Weave them in between activations to reapply statuses.
- Face the Past: This is great to play here. Prowler is a 2 ATK minion that we can easily Pin Down, (Oh you thought Stalwart would help you? lmao) and by playing this in the villain phase, we don't care that you can't damage the villain this phase.
- "Come Get Me, Bub!": Be careful about the timing here, but its an easy way to get a tough card before you are attacked by the villain. Don't use it when your own minions are attacking, as that tough will be wasted.
- Across the Spider-Verse: A very niche one, but you can use this to play Ghost-Spider, then block the villain with her so that you can instantly put any of your Spider-Man events in your hand.
LOGISTICS > TACTICS
A common mistake players make is to think that Pinpoint can recur events. Events are PLAYED, but they do not ENTER PLAY. Card game logic, ya know how it is.
With that in mind, we have some good targets. First, there's the 2 signature upgrades that I mentioned earlier. These are single use stun/confuse that Pinpoint can shuffle back in to reuse, which is fantastic for us. Next are the Web-Shooters. You will be using these a lot to pay for Swing In and Web-Shot, so don't be afraid to use them up and recycle. The Night Nurse, Pinned Down, and Spider-Tingle can also be recurred. Warpath shouldn't ever leave play, but if he does, you can get him back ASAP.
TOUGH IT OUT
With "Come Get Me, Bub!" on top of the Venom Blast in his base kit, Miles is pretty much a tank. Taunt can help trade some of your toughs (and stuns!) for more card draw, and then you can just reapply the status with another Venom Blast
OTHER STUFF
Spider-Tingle is a bit of a weird card. You have to trigger it before revealing the card to know if its a treachery or not. But its not a big investment for potentially canceling something really nasty. Miles doesn't mind the 1 damage ping, you'll rarely take damage in this deck. You could even ping Ghost-Spider. But this card is completely optional. Swap it for whatever you want. A single copy of Indomitable is interesting as well.
If someone brings Build Support, you could add Quincarrier. If anyone runs Call for Backup, you can get Warpath out for free which is HUGE.
FUN FOR THE WHOLE TABLE (Villain excluded)
Stun, Confuse, block with tough, trigger Warpath between activations to resupply with more status cards. By the time that the villain phase ends, they probably never damaged anyone or added any threat. Sit back, and watch your teammates do their funny little janky combos while the villain is powerless to stop them. Timmy may have dealt 36 damage on their turn, but you made that happen. Supports are the real MVP. Go get em, Tiger.

Well thought out! I like it when some less popular cards, like Pinned Down and Hangar Bay, get to shine if you polish them the right way.
