Playthrough vs Expert Venom Goblin

Threat Collector

Nick Fury's kit revolves around having threat on his suit form upgrade (because its an additional cost to many of his cards like his Flying Car, Fury's Watch, Intelligence Analysis AND he can pop off for 25+ damage in a single turn if he has enough threat to throw back as damage) so this deck is all about collecting threat. Nick wants to be in Stealth Suit form when enemies scheme so he can add threat to his suit form upgrade.

Threat Mitigation

In order to not lose to threat, we have threat mitigation cards in Foiled!, Counterintelligence, and Eyepatch Camera. I originally tried playing Nick Fury with confuses but found that there was anti-synergy when enemies are confused because they won't scheme and Nick won't get extra threat on his suit form upgrade.

Allies

We don't need much allies in this deck because we don't need to chump-block because the villain doesn’t attack when Nick is in stealth suit form. The ally selection is very synergistic with what Nick wants to do:

  1. Agent Coulson: key ally recurring strong prep cards for us. I usually prioritize Eyepatch Camera or Intelligence Analysis.

  2. Blindfold: helps us scry the encounter deck to give the villain low boost cards to scheme for less. This is a great way to prevent the main scheme from advancing without using confuse statuses, reduce how much threat gets added, and can add threat to our suit form upgrade.

  3. Gambit: his scrying does the same thing as Blindfold.

  4. Quake: can damage minions who scheme because we're constantly in stealth suit form.

Beat Cop

Beat Cop is one of the most synergistic cards with Nick's kit--it collects threat just like what Nick wants to do and has a secondary effect that can damage minions without forcing Nick to switch to his assault suit form.

Player Side Schemes

Nick's economy can suffer when he doesn't have threat or before Fury's Watch is out. I found that he can clear side schemes more easily than paying straight up for expensive cards. Build Support usually targets Fury's Flying Car, Helicarrier, or Beat Cop. Superpower Training usually targets Eyepatch Camera or Fury's Watch.

What do you recommend swapping Foiled! for if I don’t have access to dr strange?
