This deck is not at all an innovation for Maria Hill, this is just the modified pre-con that I used to demolish the expert AoS campaign.

At this point it is well-known that Maria is incredibly powerful, however I am baffled that I have not yet seen Face the Past in any published Maria Hill decks. If Maria Hill has a weakness, it’s her setup and slow tempo in the early game, and Face the Past does so much to alleviate that. The cost of putting the Controller into play is so incredibly negligible that I truly barely notice - he is a very non-threatening nemesis without his environment in play and is very easily held down by The Pericles, nuked by The Iliad, or cleaned up with an All-Points Bulletin.

The only other downside of Face the Past, the “you cannot attack the villain for the rest of this phase” clause, is also entirely irrelevant due to the deck having no “attacks” other than Maria’s basic activation. Did you draw into two All-Points Bulletin off of FtP? Go hog wild brother, blast the villain for like 20 damage.

Like I said, this is not an innovative Maria Hill deck, I am just posting this as a PSA to say that, in my opinion, if you are not running FtP you are doing it wrong.
