So kind of a gimmick deck as most of my Groot decks are, but with Groot liking to stay in A-E I really liked the thought of him as a secret agent, wearing a Disguise, shooting guns, and then the title popped into my head, and here we are.
Really basic justice deck when all's said and done. Groot wants growth counters, which means the scheme's gonna have to be contained, and so a little confusion with Sonic Rifle, and "Think Fast!" helps with getting a round of breathing space. The allies should do a bit to pull some weight.
The deck is pretty lightweight and I'm sure there are a couple of allies and upgrades to make him more effective, but for now, can't say I'm disappointed in the build.

Oct 09, 2025Yeah, with "Think fast", it's more of a situation when Groot's exhausted all of his growth counters and needs to get back into AE without worrying about scheming out. It's not going to be an effective confuse every time, but when things start getting hairy, it's an affordable option. As is the case with most decks I've published, it's not something I've stress tested yet, but I'm grateful for the feedback! Thanks! |
I believe "Think Fast" Take damage requires him to actually take the damage to be a fulfilled cost while deal is considered fulfilled even if prevented. With Groots growth counters those can be hard to hit. unless I'm getting the ruling backwards which is possible.
I do always like to see a good Groot deck.
