We Are Spider-Man

A simple and effective deck for Spider-Man’s number one fan, Flash Thompson.

T1 has many avenues to take. Flash’s AE setup will often see several WW in the discard pile, which is perfect to Make the Call, bypassing that pesky “play only” line on many of their cards.

Another option is Multi-Gun is in hand. Play Multi-Gun. Can still sneak enough resources to play a 3 cost ally or make the call on a 2 coster.

More options still! Suit Up is great for Spider-Man 2099 to get a WW in play as well as snag your second hero ability aka Clarity of Purpose. If you have something that needs immediate solving, Venom's newest bff, Slingshot, is just one Venom action away from showing up to battle.

None of those options? Well I guess you'll have one of the nice supports/upgrades to get out. One of the important things for this deck is you do want to mulligan pretty aggressively as you'll run into several cards at start you won't be able to use without one of the other WW's or Make the Call. After the opening though that problem is basically solved.

From there you'll be handling whatever problem comes your way thanks to Venom's versatility while going Across the Spider-Verse and recruiting your favorite Spider-Variants. Venom's favorite has to be the Superior one, Otto, as Multi-Gun can not only be readied, but is a tech card, meaning you get an instant refund of a card. What's better, bouncing with Spider-Man 2099 nets you a card from Otto leaving play, and another when he comes back if you have Web of Life and Destiny!

Don't forget that Spider-Man 2099 can bounce himself in a pinch if there's no way to keep him around. Rapid Response is mostly for him and for Peter. However, a pro gamer feeling is Rapid Response with Ghost-Spider. Block for someone with Gwen, bounce her back with RR, grab a Grasping Tendrils and a card for good measure, and then cancel the next 2 villain activations.

Simple, effective, and quite thematic. Highly recommend you pair this with someone running Spider-Woman in Agg for even more spider shenanigans!

If you don't have/can't get all these WW allies, don't fret! Replace whoever you can't get with some of S.H.I.E.L.D's finest, like Nick Fury and Maria Hill.
