This deck is built around defeating minions during the villain phase to trigger Change of Fortune. The build leans into Armored Shape, which gives a great DEF and retaliate, but Winged Shape will also be important for controlling threat. Hulk Shape is also a good option for facilitating CoF, so you don't need to park in one form! Once your upgrades are out, you don't really need the extra + 1 DEF from Armored Shape to successfully block most minion attacks.

Setting Up for Minions

Come Get Me Bub ensures you a minion and provides extra healing and a tough. Play this, trigger your Shapeshifter Upgrade, then play Bait and Switch if you need to remove threat. Or, go into the villain phase with a tough.

Once in the villain phase, I usually take the villain's hit because the kit is high in healing. I then defend a minion's attack, using an event to trigger Armor form to heal some of the damage the villain delivered. This also allows Hulkling to trigger Hard to Ignore and CoF in most cases (using electrostatic armor, his Armored Shape retaliate, and Excelsior, Armored Defense, or Riposte). Draw two cards! (You could also include Unflappable if you don't mind going up to 43 cards). However, if you clear specialized training, you will get an equivalent card draw that doesn't require you to make a perfect defense.

Healing Once you have Dr. Sinclair, Altman Residence, and Crew Quarters out, you can easily flip down for 7 healing without exhausting! If you do this with Impersonation, you can flip right back up and be ready to go! With endurance and defensive conditioning, Hulkling can get up to 19 health, and so Dauntless could also be considered.

Allies

I love low ally/no ally decks, so I only included Jocasta to hold a defense event. And Wiccan, of course, is just so good!
