Did I create an entire deck based around a meme? You bet your bottom dollar I did!

This deck will probably not beat expert Ronan or Venom Goblin. It may not even beat Rhino. I don't care. Do you know who it will beat? Professor Charles Xavier.

The goal of this deck is to punish Charles for his naivety. He never learns, and we must continually show him the error of his ways.

So basically, we're doing Get Help

We want to bring him into play every turn by whatever means necessary, then either throw his metal wheelchair at the villain for damage or use it as a shield.

Ways to get Charles into play:

  1. Suit Up: This is good if you're in alter-ego, which you are generally free to do thanks to the villain being confused. I'd be confused too watching Charles bounce in and out of play.
  2. Make the Call: Grab Charles from the discard pile and put him back to work.
  3. Call for Backup: One time use. My only regret is that I can't make Charles clear it himself.
  4. Won't Stay Down: This is a great last resort. You can set it up anytime and use it whenever you don't have any of the other options available.

What to do with Charles when he's in play:

  1. "You Got This!": If you've received a nice stat boost from Magnetic Pull, this provides you with a ready. However, due to Charles' poor physical form, it won't give you much help in attacking, so I only use this if threat is getting out of control.
  2. Go Down Swinging: This is my go-to for doing damage. Is it practical to pay three resources to put Charles into play, then play this to discard him for three damage, basically using your entire hand for three threat, three damage, a confuse, and potentially a ready? No, but it's more about sending a message.
  3. Chump block: I think that one is self-explanatory.
