"Here me, X-Men! I am no longer the woman you knew..."
This deck pays homage to concepts, characters and happenings that appeared or were popularized during the Phoenix Saga, which ran from Uncanny X-Men 100 until Uncanny X-Men 137. The goal of this deck is to lean into her aerial trait, thanks to Phoenix Suit, not unlike her fight with Firelord in issue 105. So, try and get that card out ASAP.
She can call on allies like her roommate, Misty Knight.
She can even play baseball a la issue 110, thanks to Down Time
or get help from Moira MacTaggert like in issue 125,
or recreate issue 131 and go looking for foes by doing a little Infiltration, which will help thwart, especially if Dazzler is there to prevent scheming.
Phoenix has a strong Sense of Justice, which can help with expensive thwart events like Psychic Manipulation or Agile Flight.
Take on minions by sensing emotions with Show of Empathy to turn one into an ally or get the drop on them with Eyes in the Sky.
This deck's primary focus is manipulating minions and threat levels, sometimes simultaneously. I would not recommend this deck for solo play.
