Current Environment Spider-Man vs Expert Ronan Playthrough

It's a brand new day in Marvel Champions with the current environment. Only 4 packs are required for this universal beginner deck.

"Avenge Me!"

This card is too good! A 0 cost upgrade that draws 2 cards when an ally is inevitably defeated has so much tempo. You can trigger this when an ally blocks during the villain phase, but also proactively during the player phase when an ally activates and is defeated from consequential damage. When this upgrade is attached to an ally, we basically have a card draw generator for a future turn. Combine this with Spider-Sense and Spidey basically has a handsize of 8 (5 card handsize + 1 card from Spider-Sense + 2 cards from "Avenge Me!")

Suit Up

Age of Apocalypse just got reprinted so Suit Up is back on the market! This card is still in the current environment and is one of my favorites. I was surprised that a new ally upgrade would be introduced in the form "Avenge Me!" but it combos very well with Suit Up shenanigans. Tutor Maria Hill or Nick Fury for card draw and avenge them when they die!

Avengers Theme

With mostly core set cards, Spidey assembles his Avengers lineup with Maria Hill and Nick Fury providing some S.H.I.E.L.D. support. Most of the allies here are OG classics, but Yellow Jacket is a new card from the Civil War expansion. He's great in this deck to search for upgrades and Spider-Man has a bunch--Spider-Tracers when we need to remove threat, Web-Shooters to build economy, and "Avenge Me!" for the tempo.

Alternative Options/Upgrades

This list is the most generic version of the deck, but feel free to slot in cards to tech for a specific scenario or legacy cards that you have access to. In my playthrough against Ronan the Accuser, I swapped in 2x Haymaker to contend for the Power Stone. The most expendable cards are:
