If there is one thing I’ve learned in 2026, it’s that Wonder Man is the BEST HERO EVER! Maybe that’s just me. Seriously though, he is really fun and strong. He has unique deck building, insane healing, and really strong events (if you have Mr. Hollywood out). He also is a puzzle and becomes insane if you figure it out. Alright. Enough Wonder Man glazing. Let's get on with this deck.

Core Strategy

You remember that one ally from the core set? Maria Hill? Well, she’s back. At first glance, she seems good, but not OP. A draw for the table, with decent stats for a 2-costing ally. This deck is all about exploiting her ability and stats. Her ability reads: After Maria Hill enters play, each player draws 1 card. Now here’s where the deck comes in. Basic strategy: play Maria Hill. Chump with her. Play her again. And so on. The key thing to note is her ability kicks in whenever she enters play. That means that it will trigger if you fetch her with Make the Call or bring her back instantly with Rapid Response. Now is when we get some huge value from her. Every time she comes back, every player draws a card, and you get a blocked enemy attack. And it will only ever cost 2! It’s also very easy to do. You have 3 Make the Call, as well as 3 Rapid Response. You also have 2 Practiced Plan, for recurring Rapid Response. This means you can play her 8 times per deck pass, which means 8 blocked enemy attacks, 8 cards drawn for each player, and at least 8 threat removed from schemes. Pretty good if you ask me. I originally planned this deck for a Wiccan Cameo, but unfortunately, I later realized that Wiccan's ability only kicks in if you play him from your hand. This version is just as good though, if not better.

Game Plan

In early game, hard mulligan for Mr. Hollywood. If you draw Maria, try to play her. You don’t have to start the cycle immediately, but it’s good to have her out. Don’t be afraid to skip her though, as you can easily Make the Call to get her back. Play Quincarrier(obviously), and Signature Sunglasses. Prioritize playing Yellow Jacket early on, as he can help you find your key upgrades quicker. As you start getting on to mid and late game, cycle Maria. It will help you avoid a lot of damage, as well as benefit other players greatly. A few things to remember. Don’t be scared to use Make the Call on another ally, same with Rapid Response. Rapid Response has more value when used on Nick Fury, so if you have the choice, choose Nick.

Other Things to Note

Just remember to play Wonder Man like Wonder Man. Cycle events. Flip down once in a while to recur the good ones. Here are some notes on the ones I included. Bombs away is for emergency board clearing. Stronger Together blocks consequential damage or can help other Avenger heroes. Unified Strike helps improve ally damage and survival without losing your tucked cards. Cuts Both Ways is an easy tuck, does a little damage, and can be used to defend other heroes without exhausting. Wonder Man works well with cheap, easy to play energy events, so that's what I’ve gone with for the most part.
