Winning Hand podcast, Episode 97: Change of Fortune

Focusing on defeating enemies in the villain phase to draw cards using Change of Fortune, Gambit has an uncanny ability to deal damage while defending.
Throw de Card can power up the Attack trait Protection cards Counter-Punch, Powerful Punch, and Stop Hitting Yourself.
Stop Hitting Yourself also has the Defense trait, so triggers Flow Like Water for additional damage. It also triggers Electrostatic Armor. Any defense event will trigger Electrostatic Armor, so even the zero cost Expert Defense. Expert Defense paired with Stop Hitting Yourself will deal 6 damage.
Raise Gambit's DEF stat to 5 with Armored Vest and Defensive Conditioning. With Natural Agility the DEF stat could be much higher, making Stop Hitting Yourself deal increased damage without spending the charge counters. They can then be spent on the same turn to power up Counter-Punch.
Gambit's Armor allows the wily cajun to defend twice in the villain phase. I Can Do This All Day lets him defend again without exhausting.
When flipping down to alter-ego, Defensive Training can shuffle Protection events back into the deck. Stay Ready for a Fight to flip up when the villain schemes, draw a card with Moira MacTaggert.
Increase card draw with Defense Specialist (clearing Specialized Training) and Unflappable.
Use X-Jet and Nerves of Steel to play these defense events.
