In the Heroes Reborn universe, where Wakanda is just a myth, Ronin has shown his face and revealed himself to be the Black Panther.
A Core Set classic seems a great hero to use the new Protection cards in Echo's precon from the Fear No Evil expansion, especially Ronin.
When defending now Black Panther will have a retaliate of 2 without Shuri in play. The Ronin upgrade buffs base DEF by +1. Armored Vest and Defensive Conditioning add another +2. Clear Specialized Training to become the Defense Specialist and get another +1 DEF and a card drawn. That 6 DEF which means In Harm's Way clears 6 threat and deals 6 damage.
Unflappable will draw another card in a perfect defense. With 2 or 3 retaliate damage, easily defeat minions then draw two cards using Change of Fortune. Electrostatic Armor pings a damage when defending. Cuts Both Ways will add another retaliate on top of the Ronin upgrade as will Dauntless. I Can Do This All Day allows Black Panther to defend an attack without exhausting.
Ready by discarding a copy of Indomitable.
