What If…? - The Original Ronin

In Marvel Comics, Matt Murdock was originally intended by writer Brian Michael Bendis to be the first character under the Ronin mask in New Avengers. However, due to storytelling conflicts with Ed Brubaker's concurrent Daredevil run (which put Matt in prison), the plan changed. Instead, Maya Lopez (Echo) was introduced as the first person to wear the Ronin identity.

But, What If…?

Unlike the event-focused Echo, Daredevil will make use of Protection upgrades to buff his hero-specific cards. These will help manage minions and side schemes while the Sense deck can focus on the villain when possible.

Pinned Down slowed the tempo of low-level minion attacks. Under Control and Containment Strategy deal damage or remove threat when defending. Dauntless provides additional retaliate damage to trigger Change of Fortune.

Stand Alone provides an additional opportunity to ready in the villain phase. Army of One is the real lever for additional basic activations, especially when The Best Offense… is in play.
