Ant-Man – The Ronin Giant (v3.0), a deck that completely rewrites the rules of the Protection aspect. While traditional defensive builds often suffocate in solo play because they can safeguard their health but fail to control threat, this hyper-streamlined 43-card list completely shatters the game's fundamental constraints. By harnessing the groundbreaking synergies of the Fear No Evil expansion, it mutates Ant-Man's passive defense into a brutal, highly offensive juggernaut. At the absolute core of this strategy is the total removal of the exhaustion mechanic. Thanks to the genius combination of Stand Alone and Army of One, this mechanical shackle simply ceases to exist. You are free to completely exhaust your hero in your own player phase for massive actions because the moment the villain initiates an attack in the villain phase, Ant-Man automatically snaps back into the ready position. This astronomical defense—permanently cranked up to a baseline of 5 to 6 DEF via Innate Reflexes, Armored Vest, and the Ronin title—becomes your ultimate weapon through key events like The Best Offense... and In Harm's Way. With a single action, you can deal 5 damage and simultaneously wipe 5 threat off the board, completely crushing the villain's momentum. Concurrently, you establish a passive meat-grinder: every single enemy attack bounces harmlessly off your armor for 0 damage, which immediately triggers Electrostatic Armor and Ronin to deal 2 hard points of retaliatory damage back to the boss's face, all while Unflappable continuously draws you into fresh cards. Even the strict rule requiring Ant-Man's signature ally, Wasp, to remain in the deck is masterfully utilized as a tactical airbag to absorb brutal alpha-strikes in round 1, before she hits the discard pile and allows your powerful "No-Ally" upgrades to instantly reactivate
