We are (protecting) Groot!

The idea behind the deck is fairly simple. As the name suggests, it's all about low-cost allies heroically protecting everyone's favourite tree-being (or second, perhaps, behind Treebeard), in order for his growth counters to be kept and used to power up his character abilities.

Ready for Action will ensure that Groot gets a couple of activations form each ally, with these and "We Are Groot" providing 4 ways of toughening up his glass-chinned allies, while Make the Call Rapid Response and Call for Backup provide ways to bring back defeated allies for another round of bodyguarding. Combined with "Welcome Aboard", there should be multiple alloes on the board at all times.

The deck was primarily designed for multiplayer, owing to Groot's limited basic thwart and that of his selfless allies, however the inclusion of Moxie does give the possibility of keeping threat under bay in a pinch in solo play. The inclusion of Deft Focus aids in playing his threat-removal event in this situation.
