Adam Warlock does not choose an aspect. Avatar of Life demands balance between all four — and this deck turns that restriction into its greatest strength.

With 15 allies, the deck is built to make Summoning Spell consistently powerful. Instead of paying full price for heavy hitters like Beta Ray Bill, Captain Britain, Hercules, Giant-Man or Sentry, discard through the deck until one appears and put them directly into play. Boot Camp then makes an already formidable army hit even harder.

But discarded cards are never truly wasted. Adam uses his deck itself as a resource. Cosmic Awareness converts different aspects into massive threat removal, Magic Attack burns cards for damage, Zone of Silence turns them into thwart, and Shield Spell can sacrifice as much of the deck as necessary to completely negate an attack.

The four aspects also fuel Battle Mage every phase. Aggression provides damage, Justice removes threat, Protection heals allies, and Leadership temporarily enhances Adam's basic powers. Every card therefore has two purposes: what is printed on it, and what Adam can turn it into.

Leadership Training keeps key Leadership events cycling back into the deck, while Soul World rewards Adam for burning through his deck and reaching the next cycle.

And then there is Lockjaw.

In a deck constantly discarding cards from its own deck, finding Lockjaw in the discard pile is often exactly where you want him. When a hand offers no particularly strong play, those resources can simply bring Lockjaw back into play. A potentially weak turn becomes productive without ever needing to draw him again.

Adam Warlock doesn't care whether a card is in his hand, his deck, his discard pile or already on the table.

Everything is a resource. Nothing is wasted.
