This solo deck was designed for theme and to align with the intent of Fury's kit against average villains in expert difficulty. In general, you'll stay in Stealth Form and build up your basic thwarting. Once you don't need thwarting events to control the board (two basic thwarts alone control the threat), then you will assault for large spikes of damage and get back to Stealth mode using Fury's events. You don't have allies or defense for toe-to-toe fighting.

Innate Perception starts in-hand. Mulligan for Fury's Flying Car or Build Support to get it, and Fury's Watch or Leo Fitz to get it. Jemma and Leo also help with making Homeland Intervention useful quickly.

Grant and Quake have synergy with how Nick works, but he doesn't need more than Maria Hill if he can avoid being stuck in Assault mode. Threat build-up is prevented by Eyepatch Camera, Under Surveillance, and by using your readies to stay on top of threat. A priority is getting Fury's Flying Car out in the first deck pass. You can build up to 5-thwart with Innate Perception, Heroic Intuition, and Surveillance Specialist (Soaring Acrobatics didn't make the cut). With the car, that would allow you to thwart for 10 every round. so don't race up like a Ronin defense archetype; pay attention to the board state and balance by making Fury's upgrades a high priority. Ready to Rumble is great with form changing heroes but didn't make the cut. Most of the upgrades are used for board state control instead of repeat thwarts.

Flipping down is weak in this deck unless you get a Sonic Rifle for a confusion on a non-stalwart villain. If there are vulnerable minions in the scenario, add another Sonic Rifle and cut something like Chance Encounter or Skilled Investigator.

Intelligence Analysis and Eyepatch Camera are the main targets for Practiced Plan to help control treacheries. That's very important for his kit to work; you don't want repeat or unforeseen villain schemes. Spycraft is a great prep card to add for scenarios with extra schemes but didn't make the cut.

There are only 5 tech targets for Jemma Simmons, but they're all strong cards so likely she'll be used a lot. Leo Fitz is good for finding Fury's Watch early or a Sonic Rifle later, but you shouldn't be flipping down much. He and the Safe House #221 are there supporting Homeland Intervention thwarts when you're in hero form.

Half the deck is just Supports and Upgrades to build, but I've played this enough to feel there's a balance of events for Expert difficulty with the Standard 3 encounter set. Scenario needs vary, so you may need to add Impede, Multitasking, and/or Overwatch cards and cut all the supports and side schemes if the tempo starts higher. Prism Dust is great for a minion-heavy scenario and works with the tech supports. Against Stalwart villains I'd ditch the Sonic Rifles, Leo and Jemma (tech supports), and add allies like Grant, Quake, and Fury Sr. Or switch to an Aggression Honed Technique deck with Dive Bombs, very fun. The problem in solo with Fury is the low main threat thresholds really need the added Justice thwart events or another hero to smooth threat levels. You can use allies like Professor X and Dazzler to confuse, but they won't be SHIELD which isn't thematic. Besides, swarm decks get boring.

Making an Entrance for healing has synergy, because the whole engine is to use a basic thwart once or twice every round, and you shouldn't flip to alter-ego much to heal. Foiled! prevents threat-spikes when they start to get dangerous. Clear the Area would be great once you're developed, but by then you don't need it since this deck builds his thwart stat. Homeland Intervention gives Leo and Safe House #221 much more value and is more thematic. A Government Liaison doesn't have enough recurring targets. Avenger's Mansion was cut due to tempo, but a Helicarrier makes a good Build Support target if you already have Fury's Flying Car, and it feels cheaper when you have Fury's Watch.
