Taste the Righteous Rainbow - Alter-Ego Mutant Cannon

This Alter-Ego Cyclops build converts your multi-aspect mutant lineup ("The Rainbow") into endless, high-yield warheads with Righteous Purpose! Slashing deployment costs with Uncanny X-Men and Meditation, and with Rogue as your helper, you'll whittle your allies down to 1HP to extract maximum value, and then loop them straight out of Med Lab for continuous pressure.

Why this engine works:

Rogue is the MVP: Drain health from your heavy hitters (Colossus, Rockslide, M) to instantly accelerate their Righteous Purpose threshold while skyrocketing Rogue’s own stats. Equip her with Advanced Suit to unleash massive, zero-risk attacks and thwarts (against minions and side schemes) —since consequential damage triggers last, she survives at 1 HP with her full buff stack intact. Re-arm her instantly with Utopia for back-to-back mega-swings!

Double Consequential is a Feature, Not a Bug: Heavy 3-ATK beaters like M, Colossus, and Rockslide accelerate themselves straight to their Righteous Purpose payoff. Use Rogue’s siphon to fine-tune their health pools so they hit peak power. Utopia readying allies accelerates health burndown too.

Med Lab Recursion: Lock the villain in a permanent Confuse-loop (Psylocke, Prof X, Dazzler), abuse Phoenix to tutor Priority Target (early game) or Exploit Weakness (late game), and snatch Rogue back the moment she leaves the board. NOTE: While allies enter exhausted via Med Lab, Utopia can be used to immediately ready them, circumventing its limitation.

Large Hand-Size: Fuel massive hand sizes by stacking Scott Summers' Constant Training with a Cerebro setup backed by 5 Psionic allies—giving you full-deck tutoring access on demand to your allies--and using Constant Training/Phoenix to tutor Priority Target.

The 5-Ally Firing Line: Combine Triskelion and Utopia to unlock a 5-ally board state, setting up game-ending burst damage once Exploit Weakness lands.

Key Tips:

To make the most of Cyclops in Alter-ego, we need to apply Honorary X-men to him so he also has the X-men trait in Alter-ego. This ensures we can get the most out of Utopia, readying X-men when an X-men ally enters play. We'll need to flip once to Hero form to get it applied to him.
