Featuring a revolving door of allies who for whatever reason decided Star-Lord was the guy to follow into battle, the idea here is simple: install whoever you can afford to hang out while Star-Lord builds his engine, and then go for big payout turns with Avengers Assemble/Blase of Glory/Lead from the Front.
