Energy Spear is the name of the game with this deck. Energy Spear has the printed downside "attach to a GUARDIAN ally". Star-Lord gets around this whenever he is in hero form.
Energy Spear Targets:
Tigra She is the #1 target. Once she has a spear attached she is doing 4-5 damage, which is enough to kill most minions in the game with 1 shot, and she instantly heals that 1 consequential damage if the minion dies from the attack. I use her exclusively for minion control until it is time to go to the face to end the game.
Sentry He's #2 target for two reasons. High ATK (5-6 damage once upgraded) and he has 5 health. He is going to be around for so long that I attack with him every turn, whether there is a minion target or not.
Angela Spider-Man Nova Prime These 3 are your Tier 3 targets. You're not excited to equip to them, but you're not disappointed either.
Everyone else is an emergency equip, but are mainly around for niche uses (Mockingbird) or to block.
I have Energy Spears out, now what?
What Could Go Wrong - You should be using this every turn. The deck is pretty expensive resource-wise, so you should always have a target in your hand.
Star-Lord's Helmet The most important card in your deck, even more important than spears. I will keep facedown encounter cards down to one until I have this in play, then it is game-on. Go crazy, you have the minion control to deal with it!
Element Gun I only keep one of these in play.
Looking for Trouble Good for cheap threat removal, and you have the minion control to handle just about anything a villain deck can throw at you. Gives more value to "Bring It!"
Knowhere Don't forget this triggers for all allies you play when in hero form.
There you have it. Deck is a load of fun to play!
