You didn't see that coming?

This deck is designed to represent what we all love about the character. Play as someone who's too fast for the enemy to hit while you laugh and run laps around them. It is heavily inspired by KennedyHawks excellent Hitting The Gym- Ms Marvel deck, so much so that I instantly thought that the strategy would be perfect for Quicksilver.

We all know that Quicksilver's constant readying can set up some very explosive turns. We also know that his ability is once per phase, meaning he gets a free defense every turn. Now if we lean into that a little more, suddenly quicksilver is getting as much done on the villain phase as the hero phase!

Piloting QS has always felt smooth and that doesn't really change here. You're essentially doing what you're always doing with him. Build up your upgrades so that you eventually steamroll the enemy. You'll still be doing the tried and true strategy of mulliganing for Friction Resistance and any of his classic upgrades. What's different is that you'll also be adding several upgrades that buff yourself during the defensive phase. Once you have Hard to Ignore, Electrostatic Armor, and Unflappable down, you'll be defending, thwarting, dealing one damage, and drawing a card all on the villain phase! But there's one more upgrade that requires a little more strategy. And that card is Dauntless.

Dauntless gives you retaliate 1 if you're at full health or higher. Combine this with the others and you basically get 2 damage, 1 threat removal, and a card, followed by whatever you want to do on your turn. A lot of the strategies and principals from KennedyHawk's deck apply here. Expert Defense is to keep your defense nice and strong while you build up your upgrades. Use your Friction Resistance on Preemptive Strike to cancel any boosts during your defense. It's going to ready after you do anyway! Endurance will give you a little breathing room. Momentum Shift and Energy Barrier are mostly just there as safety nets in case a little too much damage comes your way. Finally, Fighting Fit is there to take advantage of all your hard work. Show the villain who's boss!

Minions can be kind of a pain sometimes, which is why I've included a single copy of Indomitable for a second defense when you need it. Otherwise you can take the hit and use momentum shift to bring yourself back up.
