Perfect Defense, but Groot doesn't need a lot of help!
For the most part I want to continually replay Starhawk to get a card draw with Knowhere while I "stall" and wait for my "I. AM. GROOT!"s to come out.

Notes:
- Starhawk is VERY good versus Drang because of all of the indirect damage.
- Groot can stockpile his Growth Counters in perfect defense because he rarely if ever takes damage.
- I never played them in the video listed above, but Dauntless and Electrostatic Armor are really good in this deck to let villains chip away at themselves BUT it can cause you to push to the next villain stage when you don't want to or aren't ready to. For that reason, consider replacing them with second copies of Hard to Ignore (which isn't Max 1 per player) and Unflappable for consistency.
- Professor X is the only non-Guardian ally in the deck, and has become a staple for me in most decks, but especially decks which want to flip down to Alter-Ego often.

Jul 27, 2023This is a great deck! I'm going through Mutant Genesis with him, and it really feels like how he wants to play. Hide in your vines with the guardians until it's time for big damage action scenes! Thanks for making Groot fun! |

YES!!!! Some Groot love <3! Yeah he doesn't take much help for Perfect Defense! I like to better control when I defeat the villain's first stage too, so I might replace both of those with Hard to Ignore.
