Please Note: While this deck does run well at 42 cards, depending on the scenario, you’ll take two cards out. More on that below.

Aggressive Thwarting

This deck capitalizes on all of the upgrades you can attach to enemies in Spider-Man’s deck. You’ll feel like a bully, but it’ll feel good…sorta…

Here’s the gist:

So go find some poor unsuspecting minions and bully them so badly that it stops the villain in their tracks.

Hone Your Hits

Honed Technique is easy to play with all of the mental resources in this deck, and this will cause Take That! to do 10 damage and Piercing Strike to do 5 damage. Not too bad. And the villain will suffer the overkill from Marked.

Use Your Defense

The best part of Spider-Man is his three defense. This deck uses events to do damage so you don’t have to manage your activations. Now, I will say, there are enough allies, Backflips, and statuses that you can use Surprise Move, but for my testing, it was annoying not feeling like I could defend when I wanted to.

Alter Ego

Use the confuses to flip to alter ego so you can play Ingenuity or Moon Girl. If you want to go crazy, put a Webbed Up on the villain, then flip down. When you flip back up, use Take That! for 10 damage. It might feel like a needle to thread, but it’ll happen at least once a game. Or at least it kept happening to me without trying.

Steady Tempo

This game is a steady tempo because you’ll keep whittling the villain down through overkill while removing threat by defeating minions. There’ll always be enough upgrades to help you remove thwart. If you run into a crisis side scheme, your allies will happily jump in to help (since Looking for Trouble and Gatekeeper are main scheme)

Drop Two

Before the scenario, there are some considerations of what cards to drop. If the scenario is minion heavy or high player count, drop 2 Looking for Troubles. If the scenario is low minion count, drop 1 Gatekeeper and 1 Marked. This was very helpful when playing against Sinister Six, where you need to rely on the Webbed Up + Take That! combo.

Enjoy looking for people to beat up!

Love this! I just had a similar idea with Cyclops, but Spidey can use these new cards too. Can't wait to give this a spin!

Very cool! I'm working on an X-23 deck with Marked, Suppressing Fire, Take That! and Surprise Move. It's been a lot of fun so far, and I never would have thought of Spider-Man for this build!

Cool deck! If only it could have symbiote suit for the theme!!!

Very fun!! @theromeo3517 I think you absolutely could add Symbiote Suit — as long as you can handle the extra encounter card. If you play this in multiplayer, I'd vote DO IT.

Love that Peter Parker is still getting played so much. The core set heroes still hold up extremely well!

@boomguy I just played that cyclops deck, it was awesome!! It’s definitely a fun way to play aggression

@SoloMarvelChampion the x-23 deck is absolutely in queue to play. Looks pretty awesome

@theromeo3517 haha, man, that would absolutely make the meme real. It might be worth it to add it in just for that.

@KingOfRohan thanks! And I’m with you. It’s a great thematic include.

@Man-is-Obsolete I gotta say, when trying it out, I didn’t think it’d be as fun or as effective as it was. But Spider-Man is still enjoying new cards!
