I built my Nightcrawler using a lot of the upgrade-based cards that were still in my card pool, and splashed in some allies that either benefits from upgrades or otherwise works with Nightcrawler.
Since Nightcrawler can always fetch a Bamf, it should be reliable to play Looking for Trouble to get a minion and give it an upgrade so you can follow through with Take That! If you have it in hand, you can support main scheme threat removal by playing Gatekeeper first, then Outta My Way! to hopefully finish it off quicky.
Between his hero and aggression events, a copy of Fluid Motion and Test the Defense are included to benefit off of them getting played, hopefully every turn.
Glob & Shark-Girl came with Iceman and focus on attacking enemies with upgrades attached; you can always lead with a Bamf to give them a good target. With all the energy resources in Kurt's kit, Sunfire was practically a shoe-in. Tempus was included as a "just in case" situation, plus this is one of two X-men aggression decks I have built that would allow her to be fielded (and my other wants high-ATK allies).
Seeing what Nightcrawler's nemesis cards include, I see a lot of Azazel recursion. Quickstrike for 3? That's dangerous! Thankfully, Lie In Wait solves the Azazel problem with minimal effort, and without needing a pesky upgrade attachment. The maximum number of copies are included because of how often he'll show up once you hit Shadows of the Past, especially since he comes for Nightcrawler specifically off of the minion's boost ability.
