Carol's Yo-Yo
Captain Marvel got some new toys in the Magneto hero pack and another in the Agents of SHIELD box! This started as a 41 card deck to which I added Kid Omega and Cyclops after Magneto came out, and then Slingshot when the AoS box came out.
Slingshot is a fun card which can just be plugged into any Captain Marvel Leadership deck so easily. This deck gets extra Thwarts and Attacks out of her with Inspiring Presence and/or Get Ready (if you can make room for them, Command Teams make a lot of sense here too). She doesn't count against your hand limit when she returns to your hand, because that happens AFTER you draw to hand size!
If you can, play Cyclops too so that each of her attacks are at +1 ATK.
Aside from that, the deck does what Captain Marvel wants to do: draw loads of cards!
Face the Past is a no-brainer for Captain Marvel because Yon-Rogg is such a weak nemesis! I also think it's worth noting that while YOU can't attack the villain for the remainder of the phase, your allies are not you, so they (Yo-Yo and others) can!

Since posting this deck I added 3 Command Teams in taking it up to 47 cards and it still works fine despite being heavy. I run so many allies because they all have a purpose and "do some work" while I'm waiting to draw Yo-Yo. |
Mar 19, 2025Coolio! If you are at COH2025 would love to play you and this deck! Great use of just one ally. |
If you are basing this deck against Slingshot, why don't you add Command Team so you can always ready her, in case you don't pull Get Ready or Inspiring Presence? Maybe you don't need 9 allies so you can get your deck down to 40, even adding Command Team? Try it with less allies just Slingshot and a few more to see how it goes.
