This deck was iterated on as I played through The Rise of Red Skull campaign (normal mode) true-solo.
I found Spider-Woman to be a super strong, flexible hero that is ideal for solo play due to her Superhuman Agility—She is a ton of fun to play.
The deck:
I selected the aggression and justice aspects, simply in order to deal consistent damage while keeping on top of the threat level.
Spider-Woman can be upgraded with Combat Training and a Hand Cannon, offering her the ability to potentially smash for a basic attack of 8 (with overkill from the weapon)—not too shabby. If you happened to have Self-Propelled Glide in hand too, then the villain could easily be wiped out.
The majority of your steady damage / defence is supplied by your willing team of Avengers though. The ability to provide them with a Boot Camp, and perhaps a Sidearm weapon will boost their basic attack stats. Team-Building Exercise offers the chance to get your support into play early (it may be worth adding a second copy if an early set-up is integral to overcoming the scenario).
Spider-Woman´s main focus, at least in the way that I was playing her, was to mitigate threat and this was achieved through Clear the Area, Overwatch and Turn the Tide. She also comes equipped with Pheromones which allows for killer villain control.
The campaign:
Crossbones, Absorbing Man, and Taskmaster were dispatched comfortably. Zola, however, provided a far sterner challenge. Hand Cannon was added at this point to provide greater basic damage, alongside overkill for greater efficiency. Minion slaying Tigra was the MVP during this scenario. Red Skull was smashed with relative ease in the final game due to Spider-Woman´s strong thwart control.
Additional notes on the campaign: I chose the alteration for increasing my 'thwart' as my upgrade during the campaign, and I rescued 'White Tiger' (another heavy thwarter) during the Taskmaster scenario.
I will attempt the campaign once more (but on expert) in the future, and shall tinker with the deck still further.
Suggested subs depending on scenario:
War Machine & Spider-Man were sub choices for Mockingbird depending what the scenario required. I used War Machine during the Zola scenario, for example.
2 x Chase Them Down were replaced with 2 x The Power of Aggression if I wasn't that concerned about threat and wanted to build strongly.
1 x Overwatch and 1 x Clear the Area subbed for 2 x Skilled Investigator if once again threat control was fine, and I preferred the card draws so that I could build quicker.
