Why is this card so good in Justice Nightcrawler? Because Hope Summers has both the X-Men and X-Force traits, enabling both Gunboat Diplomacy and Mutant Peacekeepers. Thanks to Bamf!, Nightcrawler can defend without exhausting, allowing him to stay ready and be exhausted later for both of these events.
How do we get Hope Summers out ASAP?
We are playing three copies of Chance Encounter to find Hope Summers as quickly as possible. To trigger it, we need to defeat a side scheme. One Way or Another helps with that. In addition, we are playing Generation X, Lay the Trap, Specialized Training, and Take Out the Guards.
Other goodies:
- Skilled Investigator draws us a card when we defeat a side scheme.
- Synch can boost a basic power by one and can also be tutored with Chance Encounter.
- The X-Jet, Deft Focus, and X-Gene provide some nice ramp.
