Big Red Deck for a Big Red Suit

The past year has introduced some incredible Aggression cards, and I’ve been having a blast putting them to the test with SP//dr.

Fresh Red Cards

Spider-Woman is a much-needed Aggression Web-Warrior. While she might feel a little underwhelming on her own, she is a solid addition within the context of a dedicated Web-Warrior deck.

I’ve previously struggled to make Savage Strike work with other heroes, but SP//dr’s insane late-game economy makes it a breeze to pay the 4ER. The trade-off is well worth it for 6 damage and a reliable Tough removal.

Aggressive Conditioning is another fantastic addition. It effectively offers a 1-resource discount compared to the combined costs of Combat Training and Endurance. This is particularly valuable for a draw-poor, resource-rich hero like SP//dr; since you have the resources to spare, these higher-impact cards are much more likely to actually hit the table.

My favorite of the new batch, however, is Air Cover. Because of SP//dr’s tiny hand size, situational cards often fail to be in hand at the right time. Air Cover solves this for Suppressing Fire, providing consistent access to hero-form healing. I’ve reached a point where two copies of Air Cover and one Suppressing Fire are nearly auto-includes for my Aggression decks.

Most SP//dr games start off a bit rocky while you focus on your Interface upgrades. The Web-Warrior package and Superpower Training are here to help smooth out the early game.

Once the board is established, this deck turns SP//dr's usual race to the finish into an explosion. Between Savage Strike, Aggressive Conditioning, Combat Training, Hand Cannon, and Limitless Stamina, you will be hitting incredibly hard. Some might even call you a Murderbot.
