For a while I struggled with Rogue's Skin Contact ability, not knowing exactly the best way to take advantage of gaining traits from another character. Spider-Man solves that problem.
By touching Spider-Man, Rogue becomes a Web-Warrior and can then re-ready consistently, sometimes even 2 or 3 extra times a turn.
Mulligan hard at the beginning for Chance Encounter or Spider-Man himself, then begin to build him up, getting Honorary X-Men on him and then Mission Training. Both boost his health and Mission Training increases his stat-line.
Once Spider-Man has been built up, this becomes a thwarting machine, using Game Time to get Spider-Man and therefore Rogue extra chances to be ready and use their basic thwarts.
First Aid is included to help keep Spider-Man alive. De-escalation and Going Undercover are included to be cheap side schemes for Chance Encounter to work with.
You can include extra copies of Mission Training or even a Skilled Investigator, but as Rogue is the only hero in the game (that I know of) that can have a 39 card deck, I prefer to keep her deck slimmer and really benefit from that.
A pairing that I would have never thought of, brilliant!
