More fun with Dynamic Duo! Phoenix with consistent access to Psychic Rapport generates a lot of flexible thwarting and damage thanks to multiple activations from Jean and Scott. Furthermore, Dynamic Duo gives Jean a reliable blocker while in hero mode AND Scott allows you to modulate how many Phoenix Force counters you have, providing nice control over whether Phoenix is restrained or unleashed.

Combo Basics

Dynamic Duo + Cyclops + Psychic Rapport effectively costs 8 resources, making this seem like an absurd combo to afford. However, Phoenix's Psionic Bond ability generates an additional wild resource, meaning we start the game only one resource short of reliably playing the combo when we start our turn in AE. Getting any of Helicarrier, Moira MacTaggert Team-Building Exercise, or The X-Jet on the board enables us to play the full combo every turn. Build Support gives us an extra way to fish for these cards and works great with Restrained Phoenix's 3 THW.

This base combo is pretty good. While Restrained, you trade your full hand for 2x 3 THWs from Phoenix and 2x 2 THW/ATK from Cyclops and you still have his last HP to chump block.

That's not bad, but let's make it better. Additional resource generators will let allow you to play more cards until you eventually have a net +4 resources/cards. Specialized Training gives us our net fourth resource and I recommend selecting Combat Specialist to bump your ATK to 4 when you go Unleashed. Add Utopia, and the combo nets an additional 3 THW or 4 ATK each cycle, allowing for upwards 13 THW from the two, to thwart virtually any amount of side schemes on the board or up to 16 ATK to bring home damage to the villain. And you'll have resources left over to play either a Telekinetic Attack or more readies from Phoenix Firebird.

"We Have Threat Management at Home" Phoenix has low health and this deck doesn't have much defense outside of Cyclops. Ideally, you will end the majority of your Cyclops-less turns in alter-ego, where Jean has multiple options for threat management and a larger hand size. Psychic Manipulation is a fantastic thwarting card and Counterintelligence provides reliable threat mitigation. Practiced Plan is something of a tech card letting us either recur Counterintelligence, if we want to stay in AE, or we can use the Counterintelligence to act as an extra card in hand to pay for things when we flip. The preparations also give our deck some defense against encounter cards demanding we remove an upgrade. We want to keep those resource generators!

That's the whole deck! I had a lot of fun playtesting it and I hope you give it a shot! Judging by archived decks on marvelcdb, Psychic Rapport is a fairly popular card and Dynamic Duo let's it shine.
