Challenge : Wave 1 Deckbuilding only - Packs allowed : Core set, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Miss Marvel, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow.

Edit : This deck is the improved version from my earlier https://fr.marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/65849/justice-for-thor-wb-v1-0-2.0.

Here’s my second deck, I’m deckbuilding with a challenge of only using wave 1 packs, to get a better grasp of the core cards and heroes, so there might be much better cards from later packs for sure.

For this deck, as Thor has great attack and survivability but low threat management, I chose justice to consolidate him on this side.

The cost curve is distributed around 2-cost, which is efficient for playing ideally 2 cards per turn with a 5 card hand.

Most Justice cards are there to help dealing with threat and if possible provide resources for Frappe Foudroyante: Sous Surveillance, Contre-Espionnage, Pour la Justice ! (also powered by the resources in the deck), Équipe de Surveillance.

Also, two key Justice cards are here to help deal more damage : Coup Étourdissant (powered by our resources in the deck) and Pris en Filature (also providing a resource for Frappe Foudroyante).

Given our initial small hand size before playing Asgard, the plan is to mostly stay in alter-ego form to have a higher hand size (more options and resources), use Mjolnir as a resource, and get it back with Odinson action every round. While in this form, all of our justice cards above will prevent threat as we slowly install our upgrades and supports on the table.

Finally, Heimdall is the 5-cost finisher which has the Asgard trait, allowing Pour Asgard ! to search for this card in our deck or discard. In the beginning, Heimdall can easily be discarded as a resource (either neutral or to boost Pour la Justice !), then grabbed back from our discard with Pour Asgard ! later.

In the late game, having Asgard, Dieu du Tonnerre, Quinporteur, Manoir des Avengers, will allow us to play 4+ cost cards such as Heimdall, Dame Sif, Nick Fury more easily.

Finally, thanks to feedback, I swapped Mockingbird for Agent Coulson ( resource) which has 2 thwart and allows us to grab a Contre-Espionnage from our deck or discard pile, refunding part of its cost, and allowing us to use Contre-Espionnage as a resource if grabbed early.

A last but important detail when you play true solo and have an Avenger hero is the choice of Quinporteur instead of Héliporteur: Héliporteur reduces the cost of the next card played for a player (which is more flexible multiplayer), whereas Quinporteur provides a resource that can be used to boost our cards requiring specific resources ( for Coup Étourdissant, for Frappe Foudroyante, for Pour la Justice !).

Overall we have 6 allies, 14 events, and 15 upgrade and supports which is on the high side, but 4 of them have instant effect of removing threat (Équipe de Surveillance,Sous Surveillance).

In terms of resources, we have 17 , 14 , 9 and 3 , 2 Dieu du Tonnerre ( generator) and Quinporteur ( generator) which works really well for boosting the effect of our cards requiring /.

Cheers!

Will
