A well balanced deck, Gamora can attack and thwart consistently, pinging her ability most turns and keeping threat to near zero in most rounds. Her basic deck was pretty powerful to begin with and I've not actually switched a great deal out. Momentum Shift helps keeps her in hero mode throughout the game. Groot is my pick for top ally here usually able to take a couple villain hits, with Rocket coming out in minion heavy scenarios. Clobber + Decisive Blow with Gamora's Sword + basic attack with Combat Training and/or Godslayer can wipe most villain stages in one go in solo. Whilst there's no real need to go into alter ego, I quite often switch back when on zero threat to pick up an additional card from hand, one extra from conditioning room and one from ability which you will get most times when the engine is running. You will no doubt have the tools to remove the schemed threat and continue the beatdown of the villain.
