X-Force Mission Completed: X-themed decks for all NeXt/Wave 7 heroes in every aspect vs X-pert NeXt Evolution!

Synopsis:

  • A Cable deck that uses the Psionic trait gained through Technovirus Purge with Aggression events Psychic Assault & Psi-Bow Attack. Both of these cards can be paid for with Team-Building Exercise.

  • Lots of confuse in this deck for alter-ego flipping, including: Psychic Assault, Psylocke, & Professor X.

  • Start with Technovirus Purge if you get Mind Scan, which you will mulligan hard for in your first hand. This deck has a lot of Psionic so you really want to make that a priority. Otherwise, getting Graymalkin on the board early with Build Support is a good option.

  • With only 40 cards, after you've got all your Player Side Schemes in the Victory pile you'll easily be able to get the most out of X-Bunker since you've thinned your deck. Often you can grab any card you want.

  • Cerebro, Psylocke, Professor X, Psimitar & Telepathy also have the Psionic train. Telekinesis isn't included because we don't really need damage in this deck, just more thwarting to clear side schemes and ready Cable & Graymalkin.

  • Allies are good X-Men allies that provide a lot of utility like Wolverine to clear Tough and Sunfire to get rid of Villain Upgrades. Psylocke and Professor X can confuse and thwart really well.

  • When playing your player side schemes, if at all possible, don't try to clear more than one in a phase. Especially as you feel you've gotten past that first initial tempo gain and you feel comfortable. Think of these as your Readies, not just side schemes themselves. Also remember that Graymalkin has no limit, so if a normal Side Scheme is in play go ahead and clear multiple.

Player Side Schemes:

Supports:

  • Team-Building Exercise - Really helpful with playing all your Psionic cards.

  • X-Bunker - Once you have some PSS built up, this card is really strong for Cable. With 40 cards and so many PSS, you've thinned your deck and can really grab anything.

Allies:

  • Wolverine - Love this Aggression ally. Gets rid of Tough and stays on the board. I also use him often just to THW for 1 since it's free.

Upgrades:

  • Telepathy - I really like this card for Cable since he can be exhausted and you can un-exhaust him if you don't have a Mind Scan. It also counts as him if as thwarting if you have trouble getting your Mind Scans early.

  • Psimitar - Lots of targets in this deck. Grab it with Lock and Load if you already have Plasma Rifle on the table.

Very interesting deck. I thought the aggression deck didn't work for cable, but I changed my mind after seeing your deck introduction. If I play this deck, I think I'll play it like cable is in charge of the player side scheme with a ratio of attack 7, thwart 3, rather than a complete attack. If I play two people, another hero should play it with justice, but it should be a hero who can attack to some extent. I have a question, how much do I play attack/thwart/defense as a basic action when I play this deck? (p.s. The telepathy link in the deck introduction is wrong.)
