"I'm ready for whatever, somebody better tell em" T.I. has a whole song about being ready for whatever and that's the premise of this deck. Ready up repeatedly and just keep swinging.Magik already comes with multiple readies in the form of her Stepping Disc. We're going to amplify that, one quarter of this deck allows Magik to ready. 3 Stepping Disc, 3 Leading Blow, 3 What Doesn't Kill Me and Professor X.

The gameplan Get Soulsword and Limbo out. The sword is to give piercing and +1 attack. Having Limbo out will allow you to ensure that a fist or wild resource is on the top. Play Directed Force to give her +2 attack and if you have it Leading Blow to allow her to ready again. Utilize Stepping Disc or What Doesn't Kill Me to ready her up as well. Since most of these cards are low cost, you can typically attack twice per turn and play an ally. If you already have an ally out to take a hit and have a bunch of readies you can conceivably ready 3-4 times.

Status Effects? Not a Problem Everyone is realizing how powerful Magik is and she really can be ready for anything with her kit. In this deck we want to prioritize getting her Soulsword and Magik's Crown out. The sword is to give her piercing and if you have a fist or wild resource on the top of the deck +1 Attack. The crown is mainly to give her steady she can ignore status effects but in a pinch she can then thwart for 2 with a mental or wild resource on top of the deck. With these 2 upgrades out, Magik ignores tough, confuse and stuns. This allows her to utilize all the readies in this deck to full effect.

Keep the zombies off my back We have a saying at my work, "keep the zombies off my back." This is when we have a major project that needs to be completed and we need our employees to take care of the day-to-day. Hence keeping the zombies off our back so we can reach our deadline. That's what the supporting case in this deck is used for. Polaris, Warpath, Armor and Colossus all come with tough statuses to take a hit for you. Marrowin here to deal 4 damage in 1 turn then take a hit for you. Triage heals you if you did somehow get hit and then takes a hit. Professor X can either ready you or confuse the villain, thwart for 3 and then take a hit. In most games that I've played, I can stay in hero form the whole time and rarely get hit.

Threat Management The main thing I was concerned about with this deck was threat. The point of the deck is to repeatedly attack and the only threat removal cards are Exorcism. However, I have had zero problems in my testing. The main reason is Stepping Disc as not only does it provide a ready but you can recur a Magik card from discard. This allows you to grab Exorcism in a pinch. Also the allies do a pretty good job of managing it and as quickly as you can cycle the deck, you'll be able to see the same allies multiple times in longer games. I was able to take down Magneto which requires quite a bit of thwart power.

The remaining cards Spiritual Meditation allows us to cycle the deck and is a great card to play turn one before flipping to hero form. You can then recur it from the discard pile and put it on top to replay it. Directed Force is used to give Magik some extra damage on her attacks. You can use this in conjunction with Leading Blow to almost guarantee that you will get another ready. Endurance is in here just to give her some extra health. The Sorcerer Supreme allows her to have a hand size of 6 in hero form.

That's it, not an overly complex deck but it's a ton of fun. I've been able to attack 4 times in 1 turn with Magik on several occasions.

I'd love to hear any feedback and stay ready my friends.

looks like a fun deck! i think Warpath's ability and Magik's hero ability probably don't work together, but that's probably fine tbh. still looks really strong in the deck, and playing a Stepping Disc from hand is still pretty great, especially at higher player counts. also love the Directed Force inclusion. seems great here

@dr00 Warpath's ability isn't utilized but he makes up for it with the tough and his strong stats. This deck almost felt like leadership at times with the amount of allies you can play. Magiks kit and the cards that run this deck are so cheap that you can play an ally pretty much every turn especially if you put one back on top of the deck. I really appreciate you checking it out, I've played a ton of your decks since I got into this game!

yeah, for sure! Warpath looks great here. i really love her ability to play cards off the top of her deck at a discount. it really helps with Protection's often expensive allies, and also all those defense events giving you an extra bite at the apple. thanks for posting and for all the support! i've mostly been playing Bishop lately, but definitely keep to try some fun stuff for Magik. love to see all the new decks :D

@dr00 same here, I've got way too many decks from others that ive favorited and not enough time to try them all lol I've played bishop some but not enough. Once I get over my excitement with Magik I'll bust him out a little more

@dr00 @Castlefrank47 I would think that Warpath would work as Magiks ability reads "once per phase, you may play the top card of your deck as if it was in your hand reducing it's cost by 1" and warpath plays from cards from your hand. I'd love to see a deck centered around this for her.
