Discounts at the Thrift Thor

Concept:

• This deck takes a lot of old cards and concepts like Avengers Leadership: (Avengers Tower + old Avenger allies + Team-Building Exercise), Mighty Avengers, Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Enhanced Reflexes and merges it with new cards "You Got This!" and Squared Off. Both of which really help make Thor's ability to draw cards and kill minions shine.

• I also made this deck knowing boomguy would publish his Thor Squared Off deck at the same time. Teamwork! He made a great deck. I think it shows off just how the same deck concept can be done by two different deckbuilders and be very powerful. Try them both out and see what fits your playstyle more. I do really like Noble Sacrifice for Thor!

Discounts:

• Avengers Tower + Squared Off = free 4 cost ally. Squared Off can even be played to put Black Panther on the board, then Black Panther can pull Squared Off just to play it again (if you have another ally).

• Avengers Tower + Team-Building Experience = -2 cost for your first Avenger ally of the round.

• Earth's Mightiest Heroes gets you a free ready on whichever Avenger has the best stats at that moment. With Mighty Avengers a lot of times the Avenger to ready might be an ally. Especially with Vision, Goliath, Power Man and Captain Marvel.

• God of Thunder and Enhanced Reflexes are your pathway to fueling Vision and Lightning Strike.

Rules Note:

• One cool thing is that when playing Squared Off, you get to trigger Thor's Have At Thee ability before you play the ally from your hand. So, if you pull a better ally in those two cards drawn, you can play that one instead. However, you must have an ally in hand to play Squared Off.

Adding/other cards:

• If you want to add any cards to this deck, I would recommend adding an ally. If you want to add another card like Build Support, I'd do that plus add another ally. The reason is because 10 cards or more in a 40 card deck seems to be the sweet spot for getting an ally in a 4 card hand when playing Squared Off.

• Soaring Acrobatics, Quincarrier, Avengers Assemble! and Teamwork are all great cards I had in previous versions of this deck, but I wanted the theme of energy resources mixed with old school Avengers. Feel free to mix and match where you see fit!
