New Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. boxset has me playing a lot of contract agent themed decks. This one has been a long time coming. Works great in True Solo, slower build up than some but shouldn't be an issue. Have not done enough playtesting in multiplayer, but it should function fine there.
Cable and ol'Nick have some history, so why not get the band back together?
Between Nick Fury, Sr., Nick Fury jr, and Cable they have 3 good eyes. So let's use S.H.I.E.L.D.s big brother to our advantage. Monica Chang is here to recruit and manage those teams.
Strategy:
Typical Cable build out. Try for Mind Scan, Monica Chang, or Homeland Intervention with something to feed it in opening hand. Goal would be to clear 5 threat turn 1 in true solo.
Why 5? Usually Specialized Training is your start. Pickup the Surveillance specialist ability to boost your thwart and card draw. If you can't clear Specialized Training turn 1, maybe stick out Build Support or Call for Backup to get Monica Chang.
From here, use Monica Chang to place out Surveillance Team. Activate her, block with her, then recall her with Chance Encounter.
Homeland Intervention can be used with Mockingbird, Monica Chang, Nick Fury, Nick Fury, Sr., Helicarrier, or Surveillance Team. That gives you 8 targets, with Surveillance Team tending to be dominate on the field.
Priorities for Build Out:
Surveillance Team > Helicarrier > Graymalkin
Specialized Training > Build Support > Call for Backup
Should be it. Try and keep at least one SHIELD card in play for Homeland. Turn the Tide allows you to munch up minions while still accomplishing your own goals.
Have fun being the best agent S.H.I.E.L.D. never had.
