Nova Prime is one of the highest power signature allies in terms of base stats; and Guardian trait features a lot of cool upgrades.
I play this deck by mulliganing hard for Suit-Up(only keep double resources and Sidekick); then use your setup ability to get an Element Gun (smooth talk if you're happy to). Switch to hero form; play Suit-Up and tutor for Nova Prime if he's not in your hand. Use "what could go wrong", eat an encounter card and play Nova Prime for 2, and Sidekick for 1.
After this; you really want to play Guardians of the Galaxy; but that will need a stroke of luck (or partner with Build Support. Then go ham with the upgrades. I partner this deck with Aggression Gamora to play Energy Spear on Nova.
Most of Star-Lords cards are redundant on your first pass through your deck - that's ok; Nova Prime is the real hero here! Once he's built (with the energy spear) he's a healable 5/8/9 statline with ranged, piercing and overkill; with Side-by-Side adding +1/+1 and Leadership Training there to recur it more.
Timed well, Major Victory and CITT are further readying Nova Prime.
