Episode 68 - Great Responsibility

I challenged myself with this card that doesn’t get a lot of use, and made the challenge harder by trying to use a character I had never played before.
Enter Deadpool.
The deck was tested at all player counts, pretty extensively, and did well against expert Venom, Magneto, Carnage (Con of Heroes 2025 custom scenario), Klaw, and more. It’s been a ton of fun!
The deck is fairly simple: use Great Responsibility to mitigate threat on the main scheme. By dying early and often, you can run up the acceleration icons on the main scheme, which provides more value for Great Responsibility during step 1 of the villain phase. It also makes Exhausting Personality better and can draw you or a friend a lot of cards!
Other than that, flip as much as you can and draw a lot of cards with Moira MacTaggert, Weapon X, Skilled Investigator, IPAC, and X-Mansion (via Mutant Education).
Deadpool’s AE ability allows you to find whatever card you need for the situation at hand, and I’ve found this to be a really fun way to play a weird character and gets the best out of him.
This deck can thwart a lot—enough for 3-4p games. Wade also has plenty of damage in his kit, so it works at lower player counts as well.
